Smart Mum Teething Bling the original teething jewellery!

Posted by on June 16, 2011

On Tuesday morning my new toy arrived! Ok so it wasn’t just for me, but this is the beauty of teething bling, both mum and baby get something new! My new pendant arrived packaged in a gorgeous organza bag and I couldn’t wait to try it out. I put it straight on and I’m still wearing it as I type to keep little fingers away from the keyboard.

The idea behind teething bling is simple, babies grab, pull, chew, dribble and explore everything around them and if you have a special necklace or bracelet they often get packed away until they are a little safer to wear. With teething bling the pendants and bangles are made from the same FDA-approved material as most teething toys. They look great on and whats more they are safe for baby to play with and chew on. Teething bling state that all their products are non-toxic, phthalate, BPA, PVC, latex and lead free and all pendants come with a breakaway clasp as an added safety measure. They have put a lot of effort into making sure these products are safe and also come with the CE mark, meaning strict European safety standards have been met.

The colour choices were amazing too, I went for Amethyst as it is my birth stone but I have lined up another four or five colours I wouldn’t mind getting. Another great plus point is that teething bling is also dish-washer safe so you can be sure its clean when you havent had it on for a while. Ffreya put the pendant straight in her mouth the second I put it on and picked her up, it was a great hit with her. It served its purpose well this morning, it was my eldest’s sports day, after about an hour Ffreya was getting a little restless but all I had to do was pick her up and she went straight for the pendant.

Pendants cost £12.95 each and bangles £8.95 or you can buy a gift set consisting of a pendant and bangle for £19.95. Smart mum also do gift cards for their gift set so if you want to buy one as a gift and are unsure on which colour to choose you can always leave it up to the mum you are buying for. Another great line they are doing is ‘Teen Bling’, this is exactly the same material as Teething Bling just in more funky vibrant colours for 9-12 year olds who want to look stylish too and great for those of us that have mini helper mummies who want to get involved with their younger siblings!

All in all the pendant has been a great hit, I have recommended them to a few mums at the school and would recommend them to anyone who has a baby who has reached the experimental chewing stage. The full range of colours can be found here at www.smartmumuk.com so why not take a look and see which one you fancy!?

What a brilliant idea, the pendants are fantastic! All my children have been fascinated with peoples jewellery as babies, the first thing they do is taste something & give it a chew!!! I love the sky blue swirl but may just order myself a more neutral one to go with whatever I’m wearing! Perfect for my teething 6 month old boy . . Just gorgeous :) x
