I whole heartedly believe in supporting locally produced products, so when I was given the opportunity to review a pair of Inch Blue baby shoes I was VERY excited as these gorgeous handmade leather shoes are produced right here in south Wales!
The package arrived and the Inch Blue shoes were presented in a gorgeous bag that has now been acquired by my 6-year-old as a handy bag for carrying very essential items in ( ie. small teddies, a pen and other such things a 6-year-old NEEDS lol) My first impression was WOW they are sooooo cute! When I contacted inch blue I told them about my thoughts on putting shoes on little ones feet. Before they are walking, I like to give their feet the freedom they need to develop and, as such, have avoided footwear. Inch blue pointed me to their product info on their website and after a good read I felt a lot more confident about the idea behind the shoes. Inch blue understand your baby’s feet aren’t just smaller versions of your own, they’re a completely different shape. They’re softer and plumper with hardly any hard bone in them at all. Inch Blue shoes are made from a gorgeous soft natural leather, allowing your baby’s feet to breathe and they are actually endorsed by CHRISTINA REDFEARN M.E.A.Ch MCSRx Chiropodist and Reflexologist . I love the suede soles on them, they make the shoes non slip and are in keeping with the excellent quality of the overall shoe. They have an elasticated ankle and Ffreya has not yet managed to pull one off (for a change) although she has given them a good chew which I can also be confident with as Inch Blue shoes are made from leather that is Chrome 6 free and exceeds the British Standard requirements to pass BSEN71-3:1995 . It also conforms to European Safety standards! They are recommended as the next best thing to bare feet and I have to admit I agree. After being so funny about putting shoes on my little one I only wish I had come across Inch Blues sooner!
They do all sorts of styles from their standard shape slip ons to Sandals, Mary Janes and also the cutest, funkiest little sneakers! Their prices are £18 a pair wich for such quality is amazing, just the smell of the leather when I opened these oozed quality. My only fault is that because of the amount of styles they have (it is UNBELIEVABLE!) it took me forever to decide on just one pair and I wish I could buy every single design! I would 100% recommend these shoes to anyone, they look gorgeous, feel amazing and my little girl seems so incredibly comfortable in them as well as the wonderful fact that they are made in Wales, just like my girls!!
