Phillipa Knickerbocker Glory and the Ice Cream Castle Childrens Book Review

Posted by on August 7, 2012

Phillipa Knickerbocker Glory is a deliciously titled new children’s book aimed at 3-6 year olds and I would say more specifically girls. The beautiful illustrations are just full of all things ice cream and girly, such as sprinkles and tiaras strawberry sauce and pink ice cream!

This book is only a short story, and given the audience age range it is a perfect length to keep children engaged until the very end. The stunning colours used in the illustrations and fantastic sounding ice cream flavours also helped.

Phillipa is a little girl who LOVES ice cream and her cat Little Miss Whiskers. Together they end up going on a magical, imaginative adventure and see some amazing sights along the way. I shall let you discover these on your own but I think little girls will love this book and it would make a perfect present for a daughter, granddaughter, niece or any little girl who loves all things pink.

A lovely added extra is www.phillipaknickerbockerglory.com where you can not only buy the book, but also download colouring pages, a Knickerbocker Glory recipe and even download a Phillipa Screensaver
